Joseph Whitney 
 

As well as playing a wide variety of musical styles and moods at many events on his trusty fiddle Mr Whitney has worked extensively in Composing music, Photography, Craft, Art, Film, Design and Writing.

He has written and performed music Worldwide and appeared on 70+ recorded releases, whilst having collaborated with: The Flaming Stars, The Urban Voodoo Machine, The Tropics Of Cancer, Billy Childish, The Sting-Rays, Minxus, Jello Biafra, Jake Vegas, Glen Matlock, Paloma Faith and many others.

Compositions catalogued in Cavendish Music Library have been used on BBC TV, Disney XD and general TV broadcasting in USA, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Spain, Austria, Argentina, Poland, Finland, Czech Republic, Pan Africa & Asia, Holland, Finland and Norway.

BBC Radio sessions/broadcasts include John Peel (x8) Radio 6, Clive Anderson,  Marc Riley, Mark Radcliffe, Mark Lamarr, Sean Hughes, Resonance FM, GLR.TV:BBC2, ITV, C4, MTV., Rockpalast (WDR Germany). Festival performances include Bestival, Bulldog Bash, Electric Picnic, Glastonbury, Shambala, Secret Garden and Wilderness.

Composition “Magdalena’s Dream Cabinet” was the featured music in the trailer for ITV’s drama “The Thief, His Wife And The Canoe”
